3NRIQUE

Enrique Maza (3nrique), born on May 11, 2004, in Lima, Peru, is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Mexico City. Known for his versatility and genre-blending approach, 3nrique has written and produced for Jin (BTS), Big Soto, TAEMIN, AQUIHAYAQUIHAY, Jesse Baez, YOSHI, Zizzy, MC Cabelinho, and more.

Born to a Peruvian mother and a Mexican father, music has been a core part of his upbringing. His parents introduced him to rock and jazz from an early age, and at six, his father taught him to play the acoustic guitar. Initially immersed in classic rock and blues, his musical curiosity later expanded into math rock, jazz, and R&B. This evolution led him to start recording himself on an old laptop. Encouraged by his mother, who gifted him his first audio interface, he began exploring production software and sample libraries—sparking his passion for making beats and producing music. Along the way, he taught himself piano, bass, and drums.

His early production days revolved around crafting trap and hip-hop beats for friends. However, alongside his brother Adrián, who constantly pushed him to explore new sonic territories, he began writing, recording, and producing across a wide range of genres, including R&B, indie pop, folk, hyperpop, and alternative rock.

3nrique draws inspiration from a diverse spectrum of cultural movements and historical moments, blending ’60s jazz, ‘80s disco and soft rock, 2000s R&B, 2010s hip-hop, folk, and traditional Mexican and Brazilian music into his work. His vision is to merge these influences into a unique sound that reflects both his musical heritage and his evolving artistic identity.
