Canada. Churnin’ out quality products since…well…as long as I can remember.

Now today, in honor of Valentine’s Day, Canada’s latest export ColeCo are giving you something special.

That’s right…they are giving away their debut EP for free!

After appearing on numerous mixtapes (including The Magician’s) with their massive title track, “Can’t Stop”, ColeCo’s new EP also features two new tracks “Push It” and “Val Kilmer” along with their Florence & The Machine/Drake/Gil Scot Heron remix of “Take Care”.

I’m going to leave the genre classifications up to you…

Is this nu disco? Disco electro? Electro-Disco-House?

Either way…turn those speakers up to 11 and be prepared to be blown away.

Clubfeet || “Bright Lights, Big City”

Posted: February 14th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: MUSIC | No Comments »

Well…maybe these guys top the “on the radar” list for us.

Premiering their brand new video, ‘Bright Lights, Big City’, over at NME just moments ago, Melbourne based synth-pop act, Clubfeet, have been chewing at the bit for quite some time, after turning out nothing but quality over their last few ‘under the radar’ releases.

Shot on hipster-approved Super 8 film, it acts as Alex Goddard final installment of the ‘Gold on Gold’ project with the band.

After receiving a herald of praise from the DJ/Producer word, Clubfeet has already been remixed by such heavyweights as RAC, Dimitri From Paris, Munk, Eli Escobar, and more.

Now? ‘Bright Lights Big City’ looks forward to official re-workings from both The Whip and Body Language.

Can’t wait to see how this band launches over here, stateside.

If you missed their last workings, I highly suggest that you check out both “Fall From Here” and “Last Words

Cherub || ‘Mom & Dad’ || Album Stream

Posted: February 13th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: MUSIC | No Comments »

It all began about a year ago, this month.

One of our best friends, Woody, was over at the house doing his weekly routine of “music we NEED to listen to”. While a music connoisseur himself, our music tastes didn’t always immediately line up.

But this time…

Something was different.

He sent us to the website of a local Nashville artist, Cherub, and their debut EP “The Man Of The Hour”. With instant comparisons to some of our favorite artists including Chromeo, MGMT, and Prince…we were hooked. Without a doubt.

We got them hooked up with their first ever live show in Nashville alongside Bit Funk and Jensen Sportag, and the rest was history. Cherub had just became the Vitalic Noise’ house-band for all of our events. Month after month, they turned up with one of the biggest party attitudes yet, laying down a live performance that was truly the highlight of everyone’s night.

Now, after becoming one of the south east USA’s most sought after bands, Cherub has arrived with their debut album, “Mom & Dad”.

And man…are we proud.

Twelves tracks spanning a variety of genres, Cherub proves to their listeners exactly what all of the hype is about.

This is music fit for making love on the dance floor. And after seeing them perform numerous times over the last year, that’s exactly what’s about to happen.

“Slap me on the face like you mean it, I’m waiting to be on you.”

Join me, in welcoming one of 2012′s bands to watch, Cherub, with their brand new release via Elm & Oak Records, the Mom & Dad LP.

Fan em on Facebook too, this won’t be the last you hear from them.

Oh, and if you want to purchase this album on iTunes – I suggest you click right here (before it sells out).

Childish Gambino || “Heartbeat” (Justin Faust Remix)

Posted: February 13th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: MUSIC | No Comments »

Very excited to release this track today.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been working hand in hand with the gang over at Glassnote Records as they commissioned a number of official remixes for Childish Gambino’s recent smash hit, “Heartbeat”.

One of those artists selected from a very illustrious group of producers was our own Justin Faust. A well deserved selection, for an artist that has turned out nothing but quality since his career began.

And today? It’s finally been released for all to hear. Not only is it a fresh funky disco look on an otherwise darker track, but Mr. Faust has allowed all of us to grab this track as a FREE download. How could you say ‘no’?

PS: I may have even heard that this is Mr. Glover’s favorite remix of the bunch. But, shhh! I didn’t tell you that.
