Vitalic Noise – in partnership with Break On A Cloud – are getting set to bring you an even BIGGER “VITAL” this month. Already hyped as one of the “craziest” parties in town, with over 400 people at last month’s event, we tried to step things up even this month. Featuring not only San Francisco’s current house king and the DJ’s world fastest rising star, Viceroy, but an entire palette of music tastes ranging from B.ET.A & The Neon Panther‘s live electronic/pop musicianship, to Call It Dope and Drupy & Julie G’s fresh take’s on today’s hip hop scene, and of course a whole lineup of talented local DJ’s in Losici, Jenn Harbin, and your own Vitalic Noise.

VICEROY

He’s one of those names that you could have easily slept on. One day he’s off at school playing local fraternity parties as a dubstep producer and a different moniker, and the next he’s off earning his way to the forefront of the french house/nu-disco world. With little to no outside help, his perfectly tuned remix of Duck Sauce’ (Armand Van Helden/A- Trak) forthcoming single “Goody Two Shoes”, found him on top of the ever so powerful Hype Machine charts after being featured on nearly every blog in existence including the famed Dödselectro, Gotta Dance Dirty, Vacay Vitamins, Live For The Funk, and many more.

Now, after signing to France’s Shiny Disco Club with a slew of originals in “Sunny Daze”, “Green Light” and a collection of well received remixes for Together, Katy Perry, and Breakbot, Viceroy has assured that he is here to stay.

In the fall of 2011, Viceroy gets set to bring you his second official release, with his ‘No Ending’ EP. While the complete list of remixes can not yet be announced, we can assure you that this will be one to keep on your calendar as one of the year’s top releases.

But where did he come from? Do overnight success stories still happen in today’s industry?

Viceroy is the name of San Fransciso’s most recent college graduate in Austen Afridi, of who you may remember with his previous project in DJ Philistine.

Yes, the same DJ Philistine that saw numerous dubstep singles hitting number one several times on the Hype Machine, finding him with residencies in New York City and guest features at the Santos Party House. But after spending some time living in Rome, Austen re-discovered his passion for French- House.

DJ Philistine was quietly put to rest, and Viceroy was born.

When New Zealand native, LOSICI (aka Josiah Lester), made the move from the pristine shores and the land of reverse flowing toilets to the barren lands of Tennessee, the last thing he thought that we would be experiencing was his involvement in both the hardcore scene (as a member of WORKER) and in the electronic scene as one of Nashville’s last remaining members of the CD-J world under the moniker LOSICI.
