JUSTIN FAUST “Girl Talk” EP preview by Justin Faust

Justin Faust has been stirring up the nu-disco scene for the past few years – notably with his Revenge EP that garnered the remix attention of Russ Chimes, and “Capri Spinoff” which appeared on many year-end best single lists. With the success, he’s since been able to churn out chart topping remixes for such famed acts as Missy Elliot, Daft Punk, Britney Spears, The Rock Steady Crew, Fare Soldi, Florrie, Heads We Dance, and a whole slew of others while being asked to work with artists from all over the globe.

Just recently BBC Radio 1′s Annie Mac radio show showed him much praise for his Discotexas EP “Holdin On”, while also mentioning the anticipation for his forthcoming “Girl Talk” EP. Later in 2010 his single “Sloppy Chic” was released on Patrick Alavi’s label roXour. Live, he’s known for dropping the floor with his blend of rich, energetic, and synthy melodic electro and has played alongside the likes of DANGER, Louis La Roche, Moullinex, Xinobi, Fukkk Offf and Kap10kurt.

NEONIZED

“If anyone knows how to make a delicious sound smoothie it would be Justin Faust …”
OHH CRAPP!

“The music lies somewhere between spaced out hi-nrg and post-2022 french house. Electronic music has a tendency to be doomed to uncreative looping, but Faust has a natural talent in creating tracks that have a variation yet maintain a strong singular energy. Most importantly, Justin Faust is forging a new path in electronic music that melts bright italo synth with electro bass and house rhythm. I’m in love. [...] he is EPIC!”
DISCO WORKOUT

“Germany’s superfantastisch … I’m expecting more big things from him in 2011.”
ANALOG GIANT

“imagine braxe, falke, lifelike, daft punk and every other french hero you ever had sitting together, enjoying cheese and wine and making music in some kind of studio or house. yes, i know the awesomeness of the thought is captivatingly crippling, but so is justin faust’s music. i havent heard anything this lush, classy, amazing, or good ever.”
BLOUSE

“[The] bavarian synth magician”
TRASH MENAGERIE

“The lord of the dreamwave-aliciously rad dance floor killers … ”
SHEENA BEASTON

“Justin Faust has restored my faith in electronic music. [...] he slowly becomes the German French touch icon he was born to be.”
DOCKING STATION

“This man definitely owns his own sound.”
FRENCH EXPRESS

“Not dancing to a Justin Faust track means you probably suck hard and are spending too much time on the internets…”
TOO MANY SEBASTIANS

“Mad danceable, mad catchy, mad vibrant, and mad good.”
317electro

“Nu-Disco Legend.”
VOULES RANDOM

“Justin Faust is somewhat of a remix god when it comes to producing danceable music. [...] He is recognized by the sound that pumps through the speakers and the workout everyone else’s shoes go through when his own music comes on.”

With Special Guest Act: FABIAN

Los Angeles native Fabian Ordorica is electronic producer Fabian. With a history of production work spanning from Hip-Hop, Electro, Pop, French Touch, to Filter House, Fabian’s eclectic taste comes across in his remixes, songwriting, and original songs. His work first caught the dance communities ear with his 2009 single “Heatwave“, taken from Binary Records’ compilation album LA Lights. Receiving remixes from Russ Chimes and Short Circuit, “Heatwave” was supported on BBC’s Radio 1 as well as by DJ’s around the world. “Heatwave” was followed up by his work producing and songwriting on fellow Binary act LexiconDon‘s 2010 electropop album Pink + Blue. A blog hit in itself, Fabian‘s production work on Pink + Blue set it apart from many of the other blog-haus pop acts with its punchy drums, melodic synths, and a crisp feel for sonic landscapes.

Fabian – Heatwave by iamFabian

2011 has seen Fabian painstakingly crafting his debut EP, Say Goodbye, focusing his sound to encompass all of his influences, from Timbaland to Lifelike. An 8 song journey meant to take the listener far away from their current state of mind, Say Goodbye begins with the dynamic anthem “Last Flight”. Featuring pumping drums and an addictive bass-line, the song launches to the sky with its infectious chorus declaring “Every morning gotta say goodbye!” With “Last Flight” and Say Goodbye due out on Binary Records this September, Fabian will begin building on the buzz that has come from “Heatwave” and his remixes.
